Looking at new wood fence styles, designs and ideas?
When you’re looking for a new wood fence it’s different than looking for a new dishwasher, stove, refrigerator, or washer & dryer. These are common appliances that you either shop online for, or browse in an appliance showroom or at Home Depot or Lowe’s, then select & purchase, and then have them delivered and placed into their respective, dedicated spaces at your home. If it’s a new garbage disposal then that gets replaced, a new one gets INSTALLED. A new wood fence gets built, piece-by-piece literally from the ground up. This internet misnomer is so silly yet it persists, but the terminology is WRONG. A person INSTALLS a new garbage disposal, or car stereo. But one (or a team) BUILDS, literally and actually BUILDS a new wood fence, quite actually from the ground up. THIS is the correct terminology despite what the internet and all the computers feed us as search terms and prompts, OMG where is the language going?

for your property or estate, most commonly people look online at photos but also sometimes look around the neighborhood or during driving around town.
When you’re looking for new wood fence styles, designs and ideas online, and you find a few that you like, it’s convenient to “pin” them to your Pinterest.com (https://Pinterest.com) “board”. Then you can refer to them again later and select out your favorites. You can use one of dozens of available free online social book-marking sites to save the links also.
With me, it’s easiest to browse through my photos of MY project-builds (HUNDREDS OF PHOTOS, YES HUNDREDS!) below on this page in the linked photo albums (online portfolios, yeah that sounds more fancy) to find some or one that you’d like. I’m familiar with these builds since I own them by virtue of having designed, built and therefore created them.

But these new wood fences are NOT installed, UGH. We BUILD them, plank by plank, board by board, cut by cut, screw by screw, one bag of concrete at a time, digging one post hole at a time. It’s real work, done by hand, and it’s usually hard, demanding and precise work when you want it done right. And it’s also the result of lots of EXPERIENCE of having done it right (and wrong once or twice or thrice). Once in a while a customer shows me a new wood fence photo they found on the internet that looks “pretty & nice” that they like, and I grimace & cringe when I see the design & build flaw(s) that will lead to early failure, warping and dissatisfaction & unhappiness of the customer. Sure I can built that but I won’t. I see them thinking right before my eyes “Oh it’s a pretty photo from the internet so it MUST be good, it must be right, I want one of THESE.” It’s written all over their face and they say “Oh can you build this one?” I silently grumble and think to myself “Oh how can I tell them very nicely, that one isn’t built right, they don’t want it because of how it will be in 6 months or a year down the road, not to mention 5 or 10 years.” But there are exceptions, there are quite a few out there online that ARE great and I’d be happy to copy and build for them, or YOU!! But not install, please can we use the right words?

It’s 15 years worth of MY wood fence project builds, as of the date of this writing. ZERO clipped and copied of photos from the internet of OTHER PEOPLE’S WORK, which I have noticed other “accomplished wood fence builders” in this market have done, some even from MY hard work fence projects, those ain’t my peers, they’re sleezy tricksters. They’re trying to skip all the hard work and experience, so also BEWARE since they lack the expertise (and honesty BTW) as a result.
